Volunteerism is the lifeblood of a strong community and we want to stand side by side with you to create a thriving Downtown Rutland that our community and visitors will enjoy. We couldn’t put on our events or execute our community projects without the generosity of residents who are willing to volunteer their time.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES INCLUDE:
Event Volunteers
Events like Friday Night Live, Small Business Saturday, Tree Lighting, Jingle Bell Shop, and more!
Volunteer needs: setup, greeters, event support, breakdown. Volunteer hours are broken up into shifts, typically needing volunteers to fill 1-2 hour slots. Volunteers receive free admission to events they have volunteered for.
Volunteer Monthly Meet-up
Monthly gatherings where a group of volunteers meet to help with specific activities to either clean up downtown or aid in specific projects.
Volunteer needs: Activities will be announced a week or so prior to the meet-up. Meet-ups will run an hour in length. Volunteers do not need to commit to attending every month - drop in when available is welcome. The first meet-up will be scheduled soon! Check our Facebook for announcements.
On-call Volunteer
Occasionally the DRP staff need last minute volunteer help like hanging up event posters or filling planters with dirt for incoming plants. If you are interested in being an on-call volunteer to assist in these types of projects please indicate in the form below.
